Why did you join the Club?
Laura Gray, a keen Brisbane Club member, invited me to join her at a Champagne tasting in the cellar – it didn’t take much selling to get me on board from there! I absolutely love the line-up of events and meeting other members.
What are your interests outside of the Club?
I love the great outdoors so outside of the club and working on my business you can find me hiking, at the beach or in the garden.
How did you become involved with the Young Members?
I saw the Young Member drinks advertised in the Brisbane Club magazine and decided to go along. It was a great group of welcoming young members that I’ve continued to connect with, both in and outside the Club as friends.
What value does the Young Members group bring to the Club?
There are events to attend and friendships to be made. I particularly love that you can suggest new ideas and host your own events if you like! Ultimately the value comes down to what you put in by building relationships and playing an active role in the group.
What do you enjoy about this group?
As a business owner I love the opportunity to meet other business owners and leaders in a relaxed environment. It’s the perfect chance to meet like-minded people who are both driven and love what they do.
What events organised by the group have been memorable for you?
The first champagne tasting in the cellar that I attended was absolutely the most memorable! Visiting the Brisbane Club cellar for the first time is a really unique experience.
What would you say to a member considering attending a Young Members event?
Make sure you don’t have an early start planned for the following day!
Membership of the Club has allowed me to gain new friends, clients and a space to host my board meetings and events for Women in Digital. Without a doubt the friendships are the most valuable to me – it’s been refreshing to meet so many interesting and ambitious people.
