The Brisbane Club Annual Photographic Competition presented by the Photography Special Interest Group

The Brisbane Club’s 2020 Photographic Competition accepted submissions under the following categories:

• The Brisbane Club Open Award
• The Brisbane Club Open Novice Award
• The Keith Gay Annual Portrait Trophy
• The Brisbane Club Travel and Landscape Award
• The Brisbane Club Nature and Wildlife Award

Submissions across all five categories will also be contending for the Members’ Choice Award and the Best Overall Photograph receiving the Ian Whittle Trophy.

The Ian Whittle Trophy
The Ian Whittle Trophy is awarded to the best photo entered in the competition. It is named in memory of the Photography Special Interest Group’s founding father, Ian Whittle. Ian was an avid photographer who never stopped looking to improve skill with his camera. Ian passed away in 2019.

The Keith Gay Trophy
Keith Gay was one of four original members of the Photography Group, who had a passion for portrait photography. Keith passed away suddenly in 2011, and accordingly the best portrait photograph is awarded the Keith Gay Portrait Trophy.
