Business Club Offers Special Interest Groups with Membership

Business Clubs attract and retain members with special groups such as the Brisbane Club’s 22 different interest groups.

Do you have a special interest that you wish you could enjoy more? Do you wish you could enjoy this special interest with like-minded people in a private and comfortable environment?

Among the many benefits of having a membership at one of the premier private business clubs in Brisbane are the many varied special interest groups the Club is home to.

There are more than twenty different special interest groups at the Brisbane Club. These groups include: golf, the gourmet group, minerals and energy, motoring, property, tennis, workplace relations and many more. There is a group to suit everyone and most are open to members of all ages.

Every special interest group has their own meetings, and they can meet as often as once a month, or throughout the year. Members aren’t required to attend every single meeting or event the group holds, just the ones they are interested in.

Some interest groups have special events that they hold. The Motoring Group regularly holds country drives where they go on scenic country drives together. The Golf Group regularly hold events against other clubs, in house competitions and an annual Ambrose event which is open to all club members, regardless of their age or skill level. The Books & Beyond Group occasionally visits the Queensland Museum and State Library, as well as other galleries.

Many of the special interest groups organise to have guest speakers attend their events to make them more informative and ensure members are getting the most out of these meetings. In August, the Workplace Relations Group had Jarrod Bleijie, Shadow Minister for Employment, Industrial Relations, Skills and Training, to give a talk to the group. The AFL interest group had former AFL player Simon Black as a speaker and the Rugby Union Supporters Group had guest speakers Brad Thorn, a professional player, and Eddie Jones, the English rugby union coach.

Information on each special interest group can be found on the Brisbane Club website under the members’ only section. Regular emails and newsletters are also released with information about interest groups and events in them.

There is no limit to how many special interest groups you can be part of, so make the most of your membership at one of the most premier business clubs in Brisbane. Find out which groups’ interest you and start enjoying those special interests in the comfort of the Brisbane Club.

Convenience

There is a lot of convenience that comes with having your reception in the city. First off, you won’t have to worry about your guests getting lost while en-route, compared to a wedding reception held in the outback. Not to mention that the bustling city and night life will provide guests with a wide array of entertainment options for those wanting to have some fun before and after the reception.

2-in-1 Packages

Many venues provide wedding packages that include both the ceremony and reception in the same location, eliminating the hassle of moving you and your guests from one location to another entirely. The Brisbane Club offers great wedding packages, and has a professional wedding coordinator and a functions manager who will work to make sure even the smallest detail is covered to ensure your special day is perfect.
